Electronic prescriptions are here!

This will in most instances replace paper prescriptions and you will no longer need to collect these to take to a pharmacy.  When you request a repeat prescription your doctor will electronically send this to your nominated pharmacy.  All you need to do is tell us where you would like these sent when you next order your prescription.  Subsequent prescriptions will continue to be sent to this same pharmacy unless you tell us differently.

Repeat Prescriptions

If you are taking regular medication your doctor may decide that you have this repeated without being seen.  You will still need to be seen at regular intervals.  Your repeat  prescription tear off form will tell you when you need to book in for a follow up appointment.

Please give as much notice as possible when making these appointments to enable you to see your usual doctor.

Ordering Your Repeat Prescription

Repeat prescriptions can only be ordered in writing.  You may drop your repeat form into reception or send it in a  letter by post or you can Nice_blue_pillsfax it to us on 01299 270482 You can also register for EMIS Access to allow you to order your medication over the internet.  If you are not registered for this service please at reception for details.

You can collect your prescription directly from the surgery or we can send it directly to the pharmacy for you to collect from there.  Alternatively we can post it back to you if you send in a stamped addressed envelope.

Please allow 3 full working days for delivery of prescriptions to the chemist, plus time for dispensing. Please make sure scripts are with us by 10.00 on a Friday otherwise they will not get processed until Monday morning.
